Professional Development

The Project Management Institute (PMI) is the leading professional association for project management.  Certifications like the Project Management Professional (PMP) and its newest certification for Agile practitioners (PMI-ACP) are internationally recognized and support your professional development goals within the project management discipline.  More than half a million people worldwide have obtained one or more of these certifications.  The goal of the Fort Worth chapter is to advance PMI's mission at the local level.
Our chapter meetings include educational presentations  featuring speakers on timely project management topics and local projects of interest.  You'll have the opportunity to learn how other people plan and manage projects and some of the challenges they had to overcome.  Several times a year, nationally recognized speakers who are industry leaders are brought in for both presentations and workshops for our membership.

Our chapter workshops range from half-day to multi-day events focusing on specific project management areas such as leadership, communication, scheduling, defining scope and requirements and even training on some of the most commonly used software applications. Our goal is to provide this member service at very competitive prices.  These educational workshops support your professional development by:
* Improving your current skill sets
* Preparing for a PMI certification exam
* Maintaining your PMI certification through PDU qualified events
We also provide alternative meetings such as the book club for small group discussion format and annual events such as career night and annual conference (PDD).
