Hidden Insights: What Body Language
and Microexpressions Can Tell You
Talent Triangle Alignment:
This month's lecture will help project managers gain valuable insights to help their teams through recognizing the hidden meanings of body language and microexpressions.
Alignment and communication are essential to effective project management. Often project managers may feel they have communicated effectively through best practices and documentation only to discover too late that their project is now in the "red" due to miscommunication and assumptions. Getting insights up front during team meetings can help you quickly assess whether follow-up communication, additional documentation, or alignment is necessary to keep your projects on track.
In this session, design strategist and SMU professor J Schuh will cover techniques that allow you to:
Learn how to recognize the potential meaning of non-verbal body language
Learn how to read and understand microexpressions
Learn observational and clustering techniques to gain better insights of your team
Instructor, User Experience Design, Southern Methodist University (SMU)
