Course Description

Successfully managing a project requires effective planning and adherence to the industry's best practices in every step of the process. By understanding the fundamentals of project management, you will be better prepared to initiate a project in your organization and position it for success. In this course, you will identify effective project management practices and their related processes. 

Course Objective
You will examine the elements of sound project management and apply the generally recognized practices to successfully manage projects.

Target Student 
This course is designed for experienced PMPs who want a PMBoK-based refresher or anyone who is considering a career path in project management and desiring a complete, PMBoK-based overview of project management and its generally accepted practices.

Ed is a Retired USAF Veteran and brings over 29 years of project, program and portfolio management experience to the classroom. He has an energetic passion for teaching project management and takes time to ensure students understand the material before moving forward. Ed has thousands of hours in the classroom teaching project management courses. He is a former president of the Alamo PMI Chapter and has an Executive MBA from the University of Texas San Antonio and Bachelors in Management of Information Systems from Colorado Technical University
