Marketing Yourself in Today's Economy (2010)

Last year the Fort Worth Chapter of Project Management Institute (PMI) had such a successful event that we were asked by our members to please have another one.  This time at the beautiful Trinity River Campus of Tarrant County College (downtown Fort Worth). 

The current job market is changing with whatever the latest economic forecast brings.  We will be having four speakers representing a wide cross section of staffing management who will share with you their thoughts on how to market yourself in today's environment.  You will learn:
  • Resume writing skills and formats designed to showcase your experience for potential employers
  • Interviewing tips:  the questions you will want to ask and those you should be prepared to answer
  • Networking 102:  Learn the best ways to create and maintain your professional network
  • Bridging the Gap:  Creative ways to account for gaps in your employment history

Pre-Meeting Mini-Job Fair:  During the 4 to 6 PM timeframe, we invite you to bring your resumes and visit the various vendors and staff management firms.  Those who attended last year were able to present themselves and some even found employment.

Myra Campbell (Romack Staffing) will be speaking on "Resume writing skills and formats"

Kathy Miller (Comsys) will be speaking on "Interviewing tips"

Robert Haddon (Paranet Solutions) will be speaking on "Create and maintain your professional network"

Pam Parker (Avizion Technologies Group) will be speaking on "Bridging the Gap"
